It started with a single marinade, a cast-iron skillet, and a group of friends who refused to settle for ordinary wings. Wing Snob wasn't born in a boardroom — it was born at a backyard cookout in West Chicago in 2016.

Founder Marcus Reynolds had spent years perfecting his dry-rub technique, sourcing local herbs, and experimenting with smoke profiles that most restaurants never even consider. When friends started showing up uninvited just to eat his wings, he knew he was onto something special.

Today, Wing Snob operates from our flagship location on West North Ave, delivering the same handcrafted quality that started at that backyard table — now to thousands of loyal customers across Chicagoland.

2016

The Backyard Beginning

Marcus Reynolds hosts a neighborhood cookout in West Chicago. His signature dry-rub wings vanish within minutes. Guests start requesting them by name. The Wing Snob concept is unofficially born.

2017

First Pop-Up, First Sellout

Wing Snob launches as a pop-up at local farmers markets and food events across DuPage County. Every single event sells out within the first two hours. A waitlist begins forming.

2018 — Milestone

Opening the Flagship Location

Wing Snob opens its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 200 W North Ave, West Chicago. Opening day sees a line around the block. The local press calls it "the most anticipated food opening of the year."

2019

Sauce Lab Launches

We dedicate a full kitchen station exclusively to sauce R&D — the Wing Snob Sauce Lab. This initiative produces 12 new flavors, including our cult-favorite Honey Bourbon Blaze and the Nuclear Ghost Pepper sauce.

2020

Delivery & Community Care

Wing Snob launches direct delivery and contactless pickup. We also donate over 5,000 meals to frontline workers across DuPage County through our "Wings for Heroes" initiative.

2022 — Milestone

50,000 Customers Served

Wing Snob celebrates its 50,000th customer — a milestone that cements our place as the Midwest's premier wing destination. Franchise inquiries begin arriving from across the country.

Franchise Program Launches

Wing Snob officially opens its franchise program, bringing our signature wings to new markets while maintaining the handcrafted quality standards that built our reputation. The Wing Snob legacy continues to grow.

The original wing snob. Marcus developed every core recipe and remains hands-on in the kitchen daily. Trained in classical culinary arts, his real education came from years of backyard experimentation.

Priya keeps the engine running. With a background in restaurant management and supply chain logistics, she ensures every location delivers the same Wing Snob experience — without exception.

Sauce Lab Director

Deon Carter

The alchemist. Deon oversees all 30+ Wing Snob sauce formulas and leads the R&D program responsible for our seasonal specials. His Honey Bourbon Blaze sauce has its own cult following.
